SpellArmory is a Dutch webshop that is currently entirely focused on Magic: The Gathering. No massive assortment with dozens of different games, but a clear focus on cards, decks, sealed products, and accessories that I would also like to buy myself.
How SpellArmory came to be
I am Omèr, a Magic player and collector myself. When I started buying MTG products more frequently, I noticed how large the price differences between webshops could be. For some products, I simply found the ratio between purchasing costs, scarcity, and retail price difficult to understand.
From that frustration, but above all from my enjoyment of the game, SpellArmory was born. The idea was actually quite simple: to build a webshop where I would enjoy ordering from myself. With competitive prices, clear communication, and someone behind the shop who actually knows why people get excited about a new Commander deck, a beautiful treatment, or opening a booster box.
Fantasy existed long before Magic
My interest in Magic didn't come out of nowhere. I have actually been a fan of fantasy worlds for years. I played Warcraft and World of Warcraft for years and am a big fan of The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. Personally, I would think a real Magic set based on that latter world would be amazing.
Games like Baldur's Gate fit exactly into that same vein, and I regularly play Dungeons & Dragons with friends. Should SpellArmory expand to other product groups besides Magic in the future, then D&D is likely one of the first directions I would look into.
What draws me to all these worlds is not just the game itself. It is the worlds, the lore, the artwork, the characters, and the feeling that there is always something new to discover. That is also a big part of what I love so much about Magic.
Always been a collector
Besides that, I have actually been collecting for as long as I can remember. As a child these included coins, stamps, and Pokémon cards. Later, other things replaced them, but the collecting aspect never really disappeared.
I also strongly recognize that in Magic. Of course, I love playing, but I can just as easily get excited about a special card, a beautiful showcase treatment, an older sealed box, or simply artwork that I think is great. Sometimes you want a card because it fits well in your deck and sometimes just because you want to have it. I understand both very well.
Vision & pricing policy
An important principle of SpellArmory is that I want to offer products as competitively as possible without promising unrealistic prices. Magic is already expensive enough, and I don't want scarcity to automatically become an excuse to push a price up as much as possible.
I currently work with several distributors and suppliers. As SpellArmory grows, better purchasing opportunities, larger allocations, and more room to price competitively sometimes arise. Wherever possible, I want that benefit to be reflected in the store.

Future dream: a WPN store in Maastricht
SpellArmory is currently mainly a webshop, but my ambition is greater than just shipping boxes. In the longer term, I would like to open my own WPN store in Maastricht: a physical place where people can not only buy something, but above all can play.
A place for, for example:
- weekly Commander and game nights;
- prereleases and other Magic events;
- tournaments and community nights;
- a table where you can just pull up a chair for a game;
- and perhaps later also space for Dungeons & Dragons.
Whether and when that will work out, I don't know yet, of course. The webshop is the first step: letting SpellArmory grow quietly, building a regular group of customers, and seeing where that ultimately leads.
SpellShards
I also want to give something back to regular customers. That is why SpellArmory has the SpellShards Loyalty Program. With orders, you earn SpellShards that you can use for rewards and discounts. In addition, there are ranks and different ways to earn extra SpellShards.
You can find your balance and available rewards via SpellShards when you are logged in with the email address you use to order. All current rules, ranks, and rewards can be found on the SpellShards page .
Who is behind SpellArmory?
There is no big team behind SpellArmory. I run the webshop myself alongside my work as a social worker and my family.
Commander is my favorite Magic format. I love the interaction at the table, unexpected combos, deck building, and especially the social aspect of it. An evening that starts with "one quick game" and subsequently drags on for a few hours is therefore nothing new to me.
At the same time, I am at least as sensitive to the collecting part. I can look at singles, older sets, and artwork for a long time, and every now and then I still find it far too fun to just crack open a few packs during a draft night.
SpellArmory is therefore actually a combination of things that I have derived pleasure from for years: fantasy, games, collecting, and sitting together at the table.
Do you have feedback, an idea for the webshop, or do you just want to show your newest deck? Feel free to send a message via the contact page. I read and answer the messages myself.
