Lord of the Rings Commander Deck: Elven Council

In the council of the Elves, everyone has a voice. Galadriel, however, has a talent for ensuring that every outcome works in her favor. The Elven Council Commander Deck brings together the Elves, wise men, and protectors of Middle-earth in a green-blue strategy full of card draw, large creatures, and political voting.

Galadriel, Elven-Queen rewards you whenever a new Elf has entered under your control before combat. Then, the whole table gets to choose between dominion and guidance. If dominion wins, the Ring tempts you and your Ring-bearer grows. If guidance wins or the vote is a tie, you draw a card. Whatever the council decides, Galadriel always tries to come home with something.

Why choose Elven Council?

• An accessible Elf theme: Play Elves, generate mana, and steadily build an increasingly strong board.
• Voting makes every game different: Galadriel and various other cards allow players to vote, making multiplayer politics part of your strategy.
• Both outcomes are useful: Galadriel can have you draw a card or have the Ring tempt you and strengthen your Ring-bearer.
• Many famous Elves: Arwen, Legolas, Celeborn, Elrond, Galadriel, and other Elves from Middle-earth are included in the list.
• Room for big finishers: Genesis Wave, Overwhelming Stampede, Hornet Queen, Realm Seekers, and Colossal Whale give you plenty of late-game impact.
• Elf ramp out of the box: Elvish Mystic, Arbor Elf, Elvish Archdruid, Paradise Druid, Wood Elves, and Farhaven Elf help you ramp your mana quickly.
