In Duskmourn, survival is hard enough as it is. Apparently, Valgavoth finds that too friendly. The Endless Punishment Commander Deck ensures that almost every normal action at the table has a price: drawing cards, casting spells, playing creatures, using abilities — something painful is waiting everywhere.
Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls rewards you whenever an opponent loses life for the first time during their own turn. Every time that happens, Valgavoth gets a +1/+1 counter and you draw a card. Instead of searching for one huge damage spell, you build a House full of small torture devices that ensure opponents keep damaging themselves turn after turn.

Why choose Endless Punishment?
- Every turn hurts: Fate Unraveler, Harsh Mentor, Kederekt Parasite, Spiteful Visions, Mogis, God of Slaughter and other permanents punish normal game actions.
- Valgavoth turns damage into cards: The first time an opponent loses life during their own turn, Valgavoth gets a +1/+1 counter and you draw a card.

The Lord of Pain

The Lord of Pain is a 5/5 with menace and prevents opponents from gaining life. Whenever a player casts their first spell of a turn, you choose another player: they take damage equal to that spell's mana value. Even other people's spells become weapons you can aim.
Punisher: no one gets a free turn
Endless Punishment doesn't just try to deal damage faster than other decks. It changes the rules of the table: drawing cards can cost life, activating abilities can hurt, and even just casting your first spell can have consequences. Opponents keep playing — but almost never for free.
