Why play one Dragon when every Dragon can bring another one along? The Reign of Dragons Foundations Commander Deck is an accessible mono-red deck for players who want one thing above all: to send massive flying Dragons onto the battlefield and set the table ablaze.

Lathliss, Dragon Queen makes every new non-token Dragon you play a double threat. As soon as such a Dragon enters, she creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token. The longer Lathliss stays on the board, the faster one Dragon turns into a complete air force.

Ideal as a first Commander deck: Mono-Red · Dragons · Tokens · Big Creatures

Why choose Reign of Dragons?

  • Beginner friendly: Build up mana, play large Dragons, and attack with them — the core of the deck is easy to understand.
  • Every Dragon can become two: Lathliss creates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon when another non-token Dragon enters the battlefield.
  • Large flying threats: Dragons combine high power with flying, allowing them to deal large amounts of damage quickly.
  • Strengthen your entire army: Lathliss can give your Dragons a temporary power boost when you are ready for a big attack.
  • Mono-Red: One color keeps your mana simple while you learn when to build up resources and when to go all-out on the attack.
  • Classic Commander fantasy: If you mainly want to play Commander to put gigantic creatures on the board, Reign of Dragons is perfect for you.

Let the Dragons reign

Lathliss, Dragon Queen
Commander · Mono-Red · Dragon
Lathliss is a 6/6 Dragon with flying herself. Whenever another non-token Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, you also create a 5/5 red Dragon token with flying. For two mana, Lathliss can also give all your Dragons +1/+0 until end of turn.
From one threat to an air force
Use your early turns to build up sufficient mana and resources. As soon as Lathliss and your larger Dragons appear, your board grows at breakneck speed. Every subsequent Dragon provides not only itself but also an additional 5/5 flyer.
Great for beginners: Reign of Dragons is made for players who don't want too many detours: play large creatures, build an impressive board, and force victory with Dragons.
