Lorwyn Eclipsed Theme Deck: Angels

Build up your board early and then let an army of Angels take over the skies. The Lorwyn Eclipsed Theme Deck: Angels is a complete 60-card deck in white and green, ready to play right out of the box and built around Angels, mana acceleration, and increasingly large flying threats.

Llanowar Elves and Giada, Font of Hope help you build up mana and board presence faster. Afterward, cards like Exemplar of Light, Inspiring Overseer, and Lyra Dawnbringer take over. No need to collect loose cards or build a deck from scratch: just shuffle and play.

How does the Angels Theme Deck play?

• Accelerate your mana – Llanowar Elves and Giada, Font of Hope help you play your powerful creatures earlier.
• Build your Angel board – multiple cards reward you for maintaining and expanding your board presence.
• Attack from the air – many of your key threats have flying, making them difficult to block.
• Keep finding value – Inspiring Overseer and Starfield Shepherd help you find the right cards, mana, and creatures.
• Ready to play – the complete deck contains 60 cards and can be played straight out of the box.

Giada forms the heart of your Angel army

Giada, Font of Hope is one of the most important cards in the deck. She doesn't just help with mana for your Angels; she also makes new Angels stronger as you have more Angels already in play. This makes it worth protecting your smaller creatures: an Angel that stays on the board can make your subsequent threats significantly larger.

Starfield Shepherd supports that strategy by helping with your early mana and later searching for exactly the creature you need. Together, these cards give the deck more cohesion than simply playing large flying creatures as fast as possible.

Who is Angels suitable for?

Angels is a great choice if you want to play 60-card Magic without having to build a deck yourself. The base strategy is clear enough to get started quickly, but cards like Giada and Starfield Shepherd give the deck enough interaction and synergy to remain interesting even after multiple games.

Furthermore, Wizards has intentionally designed Angels and Pirates to play well against each other. With both Lorwyn Eclipsed Theme Decks, you immediately have two different strategies for an accessible game of Magic.
