Two decks, two players and everything you need to play your first game of Magic. The Core Set 2021 Arena Starter Kit is designed as an accessible introduction to Magic: The Gathering, with two ready-to-play 60-card decks that can be played against each other right out of the box.
Instead of having to build a deck yourself first, two players can start immediately. The kit combines a mono-black deck and a mono-green deck with game explanations and tools for your first games. This makes it a particularly practical starting point for players who want to learn Magic together.
Both decks contain 60 cards and are preconstructed. You don't need to select cards or build a deck before you can begin: shuffle the decks, follow the included instructions, and play your first game.
Two different decks
The Starter Kit contains one black deck and one green deck. This gives new players an immediate first impression of how differently the colors of Magic can play.
The black deck introduces you to creatures, removal, and effects where sacrificing or losing resources can be part of your strategy.
The green deck places more emphasis on creatures, combat, and building up increasingly large threats with which to put pressure on your opponent.

Where booster products are primarily intended for opening, collecting, or Limited, the Arena Starter Kit is specifically built around the first play experience. Both decks are preconstructed, and the included instructions help new players step-by-step through the most important aspects of a game.
