Lord of the Rings Commander Deck: Food and Fellowship
Lord of the Rings Commander Deck: Food and Fellowship
A good adventure rarely begins with an empty plate — and certainly not with an empty stomach. The Food and Fellowship Commander Deck brings the warm, green world of the Shire to your Commander table with Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant as an inseparable duo.
This White-Black-Green deck revolves around Food tokens, life gain, and Halflings. Sam creates new Food every combat and makes it cheaper to use your Food tokens. Frodo then benefits once you have gained enough life: during his attack, the Ring can tempt you and eventually even provide extra cards. Meanwhile, Treebeard and your other Fellowship members grow ever stronger while there is eating going on at the table.
Why choose Food and Fellowship?
- Frodo and Sam together in the command zone: Thanks to Partner with, both Hobbits can be your commanders together.
- Food as a central resource: Sam creates a Food token at the beginning of each combat and lowers the activation cost of your Food by {1}.
- Life gain does more than keep you alive: Frodo, Treebeard, Gollum, Rapacious Guest, Gwaihir, and various other cards reward you when you gain life.
- Full of well-known Middle-earth residents: Bilbo, Rosie Cotton, Merry, Pippin, Treebeard, Gollum, Gwaihir, Butterbur, and of course Frodo and Sam all make an appearance.
- Strong Food synergy: Gilded Goose, Tireless Provisioner, Savvy Hunter, Prize Pig, and Trading Post help keep your pantry stocked.
- 20 cards new to Magic: Cards designed specifically for Tales of Middle-earth Commander are combined with thematically reimagined Magic reprints.
