Pre-orders at SpellArmory

With new Magic: The Gathering releases, you often want to be there on time. With a pre-order at SpellArmory, you reserve your products in advance, so you don't miss out when a new set officially releases.


What is a pre-order?

A pre-order is an order that you place before the official release date of a product. You reserve one or more items from an upcoming release, such as:

  • Booster boxes or display boxes
  • Play Boosters, Collector Boosters or single packs
  • Bundles and Gift Bundles
  • Commander decks
  • Special products like Scene Boxes or collector sets

How does a pre-order work?

  1. The product is clearly marked as [PRE-ORDER] in the webshop.
  2. The expected release date is stated on the product page.
  3. You place your order and pay immediately via the chosen payment method.
  4. We reserve your products with our supplier or distributor.
  5. Around the release date, we process and ship your order as soon as stock arrives.

Payment for pre-orders

Pre-orders at SpellArmory are paid directly during the placement of your order. This secures your reservation and allows us to purchase the correct quantities from our distributors. This helps us to plan stock better, reserve popular products in time, and continue to offer competitive prices.

By placing a pre-order, you confirm that you have read this pre-order policy and agree to the delivery conditions, including the expected delivery date around the release date.


Purchase limit per customer

To ensure fair access for all customers and prevent speculative purchases (scalping), the following limits apply per customer:

  • Maximum 2 items per product per pre-order (unless otherwise stated on the product page)
  • Maximum 1 Collector Booster Box per customer per set

SpellArmory reserves the right to cancel orders that exceed these limits, even if placed through multiple accounts, email addresses, names, or delivery addresses. In case of suspected coordinated purchases to circumvent these limits, SpellArmory reserves the right to prioritize other customers and cancel suspicious orders with a full refund.


Shipping and release date

We adhere to the official release date as communicated by the publisher or distributor. We aim to ship your pre-order around or shortly after the release date, as soon as stock has arrived with us.

The date on the product page is an expected date. This may be adjusted by the publisher, supplier, or distributor. Should there be a major change or delay, we will keep you informed as best as possible. SpellArmory is not liable for delays beyond our control.


Combining pre-orders with immediately available items

Do you combine a pre-order with items that are already immediately available? Then we will ship your order in one go, as soon as the pre-order is ready for shipment. Do you want to receive immediately available products sooner? Please contact us after placing your order via the contact page. In some cases, extra shipping costs may be charged for a second shipment.


Cancellation by the customer

You can cancel a pre-order up to and including one day before the official release date of the product. After this date, cancellation is no longer possible, because SpellArmory has already purchased and reserved the stock.

Always state your order number with your cancellation request. Refunds will take place within 5–10 working days via the original payment method.


Cancellation by SpellArmory

SpellArmory reserves the right to cancel a pre-order in the following cases:

  • Insufficient allocation from the distributor
  • Suspicion of fraud, scalping, or abuse of the purchase limit
  • Technical errors in price or product information
  • Force majeure (e.g., production halt by the manufacturer, strikes, or logistical calamities)

In all cases, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid.


Allocation and availability

The delivery of pre-orders depends on the allocation SpellArmory receives from the distributor. If we receive insufficient stock to fulfill all pre-orders, orders will be processed in order of receipt. Customers who cannot be served will receive a full refund. No alternative product will be delivered without the explicit consent of the customer.


Payments and chargebacks

By placing a pre-order, the customer confirms to have read this pre-order policy and agrees to the delivery conditions, including the expected delivery date around the release date.

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with a payment provider (such as PayPal, credit card company, or bank) while the order is processed in accordance with this policy, we consider a breach of the purchase agreement. SpellArmory reserves the right to dispute such cases with all available documentation, including order confirmations, communication history, and this published policy.


Price changes

The price of a pre-order is fixed at the time of ordering. Any price changes after the order has been placed will not affect your order.


SpellShards and pre-orders

Even with pre-orders, you still earn SpellShards through the SpellShards Loyalty Program. The points are linked to the email address used to place the order.
