Reality Fracture Commander Deck: Multiverse Reforged

Jace has decided the existing Multiverse is beyond saving — so he's building his own version. Multiverse Reforged brings that idea straight to the Commander table with a four-color, ready-to-play deck in which Jace deploys alternate-reality versions of famous Magic legends.

The strategy revolves around making creature tokens and then transforming them into much more powerful creatures. Wizards deliberately positions Multiverse Reforged as a somewhat more complex precon: small tokens can make way for threats like Darksteel Angel, while your four colors give you access to various engines, interaction and ways to set up your plan.

Colors: ● White · ● Blue · ● Black · ● Red (Four-Color · no green)

How does Multiverse Reforged play?

• Tokens as a foundation – first build up creature tokens that you can then use for your transformation effects.
• Cheat big creatures into play – effects like Mass Polymorph, Synthetic Destiny and Proteus Staff help small creatures make way for much bigger threats.
• Four colors – White, Blue, Black and Red give access to token makers, removal, card selection and various supporting engines.
• More technical precon – Wizards explicitly aims this deck at players who want to play a somewhat more complex Commander strategy.
• Echoverse legends – familiar characters show up in unexpected versions, including a mono-white Ob Nixilis, mono-black Avacyn and colorless Omnath.

Jace's Echoverse

Jace, Multiverse Architect leads the deck and brings along his own versions of famous Magic characters. Ob Nixilis, the Ascended shows up as a mono-white card, Avacyn, Angel of Horror as a mono-black creature and Omnath, Locus of the Void as a colorless card.

Nissa, Leyline Tamer is the featured commander and offers an alternative way to play the same unusual four-color card pool.

What kind of Commander player is it for?

Multiverse Reforged is best suited to players who love tokens, creature cheating and decks with multiple moving parts. You'll need to think about which creatures you want to hit in your deck, when to give up a token and how to combine the different engines. That makes this clearly a step more complex than a simple starter precon.

At the same time, the official list offers several well-known Commander cards right away, including Flawless Maneuver, Grand Crescendo, Archon of Cruelty, Chromatic Lantern, Shark Typhoon and various Signets and Talismans.
