Commander 2017 Commander Deck: Feline Ferocity

Arahbo doesn't even need to be on the battlefield to make your Cats dangerous. Feline Ferocity is a white-green Commander Deck centered around Arahbo, Roar of the World, Cat tribal, Equipment, and powerful combat turns.

This ready-to-play Commander Deck from Commander 2017 combines a wide selection of Cats with Equipment that makes individual attackers increasingly dangerous. Arahbo supports the deck from the command zone thanks to Eminence, while cards like Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith, Hammer of Nazahn, Balan, Wandering Knight, and Kemba, Kha Regent further expand the Equipment plan.

Arahbo, Roar of the World

Arahbo, Roar of the World is a green-white Cat Avatar and the primary commander of Feline Ferocity. His Eminence ability ensures that you can start applying pressure in every combat of your own without needing to spend five mana on your commander first.

Once Arahbo is on the battlefield, combat becomes even more dangerous. Whenever another Cat you control attacks, you can pay {1}{G}{W}. That Cat then gains trample and +X/+X until end of turn, where X is equal to its power. A Cat that has already been buffed by Eminence can strike particularly hard as a result.

Cats and Equipment

Feline Ferocity is not just a creature-tribal deck. A large part of the support revolves around Equipment. The deck includes Hammer of Nazahn, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Argentum Armor, Sword of the Animist, Quietus Spike, Loxodon Warhammer, and Swiftfoot Boots.

This ties directly into several Cats in the deck. Balan, Wandering Knight, Kemba, Kha Regent, Leonin Shikari, Sunspear Shikari, and Taj-Nar Swordsmith all have synergy with Equipment or benefit greatly when you arm your creatures.

Mirri controls combat

Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist gives the deck another way to steer combat in your favor. When Mirri attacks, each opponent can block with at most one creature that combat. As long as Mirri is tapped, at most one creature can attack you each combat.

This makes her interesting both offensively and defensively: your wide Cat board becomes harder to block, while opponents find it less easy to send their own large creature armies at you.

More than just small Cats

The deck may start small, but it contains several ways to grow from a modest battlefield to a serious offensive force. Jazal Goldmane, Raksha Golden Cub, and Arahbo himself can significantly boost combat, while Mirari's Wake both makes your creatures larger and increases your mana production.

Qasali Slingers, Leonin Relic-Warder, and Qasali Pridemage also provide the Cat theme with useful interaction against artifacts and enchantments.
