Dominaria is a world built on legends. Legends' Legacy simply decides to bring them all to the battlefield at once. The Legends' Legacy Commander Deck gathers heroes, villains, kings, warriors, and monsters from Magic's history under the leadership of Dihada, Binder of Wills.
This red-white-black deck is entirely focused on legendary permanents and legendary spells. In fact, every creature in the deck is legendary. Dihada protects your most important legends, searches for new legendary cards from the top of your library, and turns everything you don't need into Treasure. As a result, almost every card you play feels like a new chapter from the history of Dominaria.

Why choose Legends' Legacy?
- Every creature is legendary: From Alesha, Drana, and Krenko to Etali, Neheb, Traxos, and Zetalpa — the entire creature package consists of legendary characters.
- Dihada protects your most important legends: Her +2 gives up to one legendary creature vigilance, lifelink, and indestructible until your next turn.
- Card selection and Treasure: Dihada's −3 reveals the top four cards. Legendary cards go to your hand, and for every other card that goes to your graveyard, you create a Treasure.
- Legendary spells become card draw: Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge lets you draw a card whenever you cast a legendary spell or play a legendary land.
- Legendary payoffs: Primevals' Glorious Rebirth, Urza's Ruinous Blast, Heroes' Podium, Day of Destiny, and The Circle of Loyalty reward exactly what the deck is already doing.
- Many different Magic eras in one deck: Legends' Legacy feels almost like a tour through the history of the game, with famous names from Dominaria and other planes.
Write your own legend
Dihada, Binder of Wills
Face Commander · Red / White / Black · Legendary Planeswalker
Dihada starts with 5 loyalty and, thanks to her own card text, can actually be your commander. Her +2 protects a legendary creature with vigilance, lifelink, and indestructible. Her −3 reveals four cards, puts every legendary card from among them into your hand, and creates Treasure for the other cards that go to your graveyard.
Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge
Featured Commander · Red / White / Black · Human Knight
Shanid has menace and gives all your other legendary creatures menace as well. Every time you cast a legendary spell or play a legendary land, you draw a card and lose 1 life. With so many legendary cards in the list, almost every new permanent becomes part of your card-draw engine.
A planeswalker as Commander?
Normally, a planeswalker cannot automatically be your commander. Dihada is an exception: her card explicitly states “Dihada, Binder of Wills can be your commander.” She starts in the command zone, and Commander tax also applies to her when you cast her again.
Playstyle:
Legends' Legacy is ideal if you enjoy individually powerful cards that come together to form one clear strategy. You aren't building an army of identical tokens: almost every creature has its own name, own abilities, and its own role in your legendary ensemble.
New to Commander?
Dihada functions a bit differently than a traditional creature-commander, but the deck is fully playable right out of the box. Do you want to know how the command zone, Commander tax, and color identity work first? Read our complete Commander beginner's guide →
