A good pirate never stays at the bottom of the ocean for long. The Ahoy Mateys Commander Deck gathers the most notorious Pirates of Ixalan, intentionally fills your graveyard, and then brings them back on deck under the command of Admiral Brass, Unsinkable.
This blue-black-red Pirate deck combines graveyard recursion, combat, and Treasure. When Admiral Brass enters, you mill four cards. From that moment on, at the beginning of each combat, you may return one Pirate from your graveyard as a 4/4 with haste. That Pirate gets a finality counter, so its return is temporary—but often more than long enough to seize loot one more time.

When Admiral Brass enters, mill four cards. At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may return a Pirate creature card from your graveyard. That Pirate becomes a 4/4, gains haste for the turn, and receives a finality counter. This way, your graveyard constantly provides new crew members.
Don Andres, the Renegade
Featured Commander · Blue / Black / Red · Vampire Pirate
Creatures you control but don't own get +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, and they also become Pirates. When you cast a noncreature spell you don't own, you create two tapped Treasure tokens. Don Andres literally turns other people's cards into your loot.
Plunder first, ask questions later
Ahoy Mateys doesn't have to be afraid when Pirates die. Your graveyard is actually part of your game plan. Cards like Faithless Looting, Windfall, Geier Reach Sanitarium, and Brass herself help get the right Pirates in position for a spectacular return.
