Where Lorwyn blooms, Shadowmoor makes everything wither. The Blight Curse Commander Deck embraces the dark half of Lorwyn Eclipsed and turns -1/-1 counters from a penalty into a weapon.
Auntie Ool, Cursewretch leads this black-red-green deck full of curses, withered creatures, and slowly growing misery. Use blight to intentionally place -1/-1 counters on your own creatures and gain extra effects in return. Auntie Ool subsequently rewards you for this with cards — while every -1/-1 counter you place on an opponent's creature slowly gnaws at their life total. With The Reaper, King No More, it gets even meaner: your opponents' weakened creatures can simply return to your side after they die.

Why choose Blight Curse?
- Turn -1/-1 counters into a resource: Blight lets you place -1/-1 counters on your own creature as part of the cost for powerful effects.
- Auntie Ool rewards self-harm: When -1/-1 counters are placed on a creature you control, Auntie Ool lets you draw a card.
- Poison your opponents' board: If -1/-1 counters land on an opponent's creature, their controller loses life thanks to Auntie Ool.
- Ward with a sinister price: Anyone wanting to target Auntie Ool must first be willing to weaken their own creature with blight 2, thanks to her ward.
- Steal what you've weakened: The Reaper, King No More can bring an opponent's creature with a -1/-1 counter back under your control after it dies.

Auntie Ool is a 4/4 with ward—blight 2. Each time one or more -1/-1 counters are placed on a creature, you draw a card if you control that creature. If it is someone else's creature, that controller loses 1 life instead.
The Reaper, King No More
Featured Commander · Black / Red / Green
The Reaper puts a -1/-1 counter on up to two target creatures upon entering. If an opponent's creature with such a counter on it dies, you can put that card onto the battlefield directly under your control once per turn.
What is Blight?
Blight N means you put N -1/-1 counters on a creature you control. That sounds like a drawback — and that is exactly the point. Blight Curse is full of cards that ensure those counters grant you cards, tokens, triggers, or other benefits.
Playstyle:
Blight Curse is for players who enjoy slowly taking control of the board. Instead of destroying every threat immediately, you weaken creatures with counters, extract value from them yourself, and let Shadowmoor do the remaining work.
